Sports betting - Baseball
For baseball games, the following bets
are normally permitted:
Future – An outright
win on the winner of the competition, either a division,
or the overall championship.
Side - A bet on a team to win the game
outright, usually with a handicap applied.
Moneyline – A bet to win the
game outright, i.e. with no handicapping.
Total – A bet on whether the
combined scores of both teams will go over or under
the nominated total.
Runline - A bet to predict which team
will score the highest number of runs. This bet is handicapped,
with the underdog always given +1.5 points advantage.
Parlays – Combination of several
different predictions (in one sport or across all the
US sports), all of which must be correct for the Parlay
to win.
Specials – A range of special
bets may also be available at the bookmaker’s
discretion.
